Game Day

Regular season games are played on Saturdays from August-October. We will have between 3-4 home games throughout the season. During home games parking is across from the Mitchell St entrance. Away games will be played at any of the other 21 GFL park locations.

The entry fee is $6 for adults and $2 for school age children (6 through High School). All children aged 5 years and younger and Senior Citizens 65 and older are free. Our park only accepts cash for game entry.

We want all parents to exhibit great Norcross pride at each game. We know at times games can get very intense but we are asking that parents keep their composure at all times.

EMT/Paramedics and Gwinnett County Sheriffs are in attendance at all GFL events for the safety of our student athletes and community.

Fundraising

There will be opportunities for each player to participate in park wide fundraisers and/or team fundraisers to help off-set additional team costs throughout the season. All players are expected to fundraise.

Fundraising efforts done in the past include the Player Calendar Fundraiser, Double Good Popcorn, and Launchathon.

Volunteering

All NYAA coaches, team moms, and board members donate a minimum of three hours- 4 days a week the entire season in an effort to help develop athletes, teach the foundation of football and valuable life lessons they can apply on and off the field. Each parent is required to volunteer at least 6 hours throughout the season. Volunteering fosters great relationships and parkwide comradery and is a way to show your support for those who dedicate numerous hours to your athlete.

Emergency Action Plan

We have an EAP in place to respond to emergency situations during practices and/or games. Access to an AED machine and first aid kit is available to team moms, safety coaches, head coaches, paramedics, and parents in case of an emergency.

We follow the GFL Policy for Heat and Humidity. The heat index is monitored heavily in July to protect the athletes from dehydrating and overheating due to dangerous temperatures. A wet bulb globe is used for monitoring. In the event that an athlete becomes overheated, access to the cold tub is available.

Football is played in the rain, so we will practice in the rain. A lightning detection system is used for monitoring and athletes will not practice in lightning/thunderstorms.

Misc

We use the Band App for team communication. Once your player is registered you will be added to your team band.

All important forms can be found on the documents page.
